Course Detail

The RTITB Counterbalance Lift Truck (often referred to as a forklift) operator training course will give you the skills to operate the lift truck safely and efficiently, carry out a pre-use inspection, and recall and explain the causes of lift truck and load instability.

Training in Safety is important to National Safety Training Services and should be important to you, which is why we provide an essential reliable service, specialising in Centre training & national on-site. We are fully RTITB accredited and follow their guidelines for course content and duration, ensuring we work to the highest standards and in accordance with current legislation and approved codes of practice.

Novice Operators - Candidates who have had very little or no experience

Existing Operators - Candidates who have been driving trucks on a regular basis but have not received formal training or testing.

Upon completion of the course all operators will recieve a certificate that is valid for 3 years and will be fully accredited to operate a Counterbalance Lift truck of up to 5 Tonnes in a workplace with written authorisation.

  • Satisfactory completion of Practical and Theory based assessment
